Boy at Play
He shakes the pot filled with shapes. Clasping
the star. One bag to check. Travel.
We three kings and all that.
Before you ask me, let me tell you.
Is my baby okay? This separation is like jumping,
Bank to bank. Remember rivers? Hopscotch.
I wish I could skip from city to city so easily.
Stand on one leg, switch to the other. Like this.
Like that.

This is a very nice poem. Thank you for sharing, I feel that this poem is about the juggling that parents do with their children and work. Very good.
