Poetry | November 2012

Morning

By Sarah MacDougall

Daddy?
Daddy gone?
Daddy’s at work
Daddy gone?
Daddy’s at work
Oh
Daddy’s shoes?
Yes, Daddy’s shoes
Daddy’s watch?
Yes, that’s Daddy’s watch, he’s forgotten to wear it to work
Amy wear?
Be careful
Amy wear Daddy’s watch?
Okay but be careful with it
Mummy help
There you are, Amy’s wearing Daddy’s watch
NO
Ok, let’s take it off
Bye bye Daddy’s watch
Let’s go and have breakfast
Daddy gone?
