Orbit

By Sara Gonzalez-Rothi

Like a turbocharged top, he spins.
To the casual eye, this is entropy.
For the keen observer, it is the universal order:
He a satellite, she a heavenly body.
Her lap: the most hospitable perigee.
Where toddler curiosity collides with infantile separation: the apogee.
An elliptical and eternal orbit.
Adventure pushing what
Gravity beckons to
Primary body
His mama: heart center.
