Celebrating National Poetry Month

By Blog Editor

Former United States Poet Laureate Billy Collins (2001-2003) created Poetry 180, a program for making poetry an active part of the daily experiences of American high school students. Poetry 180 offers one poem for each day of the 180-day school year.

Check out one of his lists of poems here and the two anthologies he compiled 180 More: Extraordinary Poems for Every Day”here.
