Grants Available to Rebuild School Libraries

By Blog Editor

National PTA offers grants for repairing and rebuilding school libraries and playgrounds affected by Superstorm Sandy

The National PTA’s grant program will award a minimum of $500 and up to $5,000 to PTAs in good standing in areas impacted by Superstorm Sandy. The grant money may be used to repair storm damage to school libraries and playgrounds, purchase new books and supplies, and much more. PTAs can apply for more than one grant if they have multiple needs.

Grant applications will be reviewed on an ongoing basis until 8 pm EST on December 28, or until grant funds are exhausted.

As the largest volunteer child advocacy association in the nation, Parent Teacher Association (PTA) reminds our country of its obligations to children and provides parents and families with a powerful voice to speak on behalf of every child while providing the best tools for parents to help their children be successful students.
