Poem in Your Pocket Day

By Blog Editor

April is National Poetry Month.
April 24th is Poem in Your Pocket Day!

On Poem in Your Pocket Day, people throughout the United States select a poem, carry it with them, and share it with others throughout the day.

Throughout history, poems have been stowed in pockets in a variety of ways, from the commonplace books of the Renaissance to the pocket-sized publications for Army soldiers in World War II. Of course, these days you can carry around whole tomes of poems when you keep your smart phone in your pocket!

Tweet your poem using #pocketpoem on Twitter.
