Lisa Katzenberger, Creative Nonfiction and Fiction Editorial Assistant, had an interview with Chicago author Christine Sneed published in the Chicago Review of Books. She also had an article, Pitch Agents Through Twitter, published in the 2017 Guide to Literary Agents.

Rudri Bhatt Patel, Social Media Editor, published her article, “Parenting: The importance of athletics in an academic life,” on ESPN W. The Washington Post published her article “From embarrassment to celebration: Acceptance of a bicultural identity during Diwali.” She also published “What is Diwali? How One Indian-American Family Celebrates” in Kitchn. And Literary Mama published her “Conversation with Rachel Harper.” She’s also thrilled that an essay of hers will be included in the anthology Here in the Middle, edited by Christine Organ and Julie Jo Severson.

Christina Consolino, Senior Editor and Profiles Editor, published a piece entitled “Men-Stroo-Ay-Shun” at Tribe Magazine. She also published a HuffPost piece, “An Open Letter to President-elect Trump.”

Andrea Lani, Literary Reflections Editor, was pleased to see three pieces in print this fall. Her essay “Monarch Summers,” about raising caterpillars and children and the decline in monarch butterflies, was featured in the 2016 issue of Snowy Egret. “How I Went from Domestic to Wild,” an essay about trading in knitting needles for hiking boots, appeared in Role Reboot. Finally, her piece “The Big Night,” about salamander love and little boys growing up, was published in Coffee + Crumbs.

Ginny Kaczmarek, Poetry Editor, is excited that an essay of hers is going to be included in the upcoming anthology Birth Writes: A Collection of Real Life Birth Stories, edited by Carole Mannier Clark. She also has poems forthcoming in Stinkwaves Magazine and in an as-yet-unnamed anthology about bars.

Abigail Lalonde, Literary Reflections Editorial Assistant, had a flash fiction piece, “Get Crackin” published in Issue 200 of Crack the Spine literary magazine. She also had three poems (“Reasons for Travel,” “The City Smells Like:,” and “Thursdays in Fishtown and Sometimes We Fight”) published in the Fall issue of Yellow Chair Review.

Camille-Yvette Welsch, Reviews Editor, had her poem, “The Four Ugliest Children in Christendom Go to Cirque du Soleil”, nominated for a pushcart prize by Menacing Hedge. Also, her chapbook, FULL, was just released by dancing girl press.
