Literary Reflections Editorial Assistant, Nerys Copelovitz, had an essay published in a new anthology Aint Nothing But a Tween Thang, a collection of humorous stories and practical advice from parents grappling with the tween/teen years.

Literary Reflections and Senior Editor Andrea Lani was delighted to have two essays published in July. “The World in Their Hands,” which previously appeared in The Maine Review, was republished in Nature Writing, and “The Sparrow’s Song” appeared in The Sunlight Press, a journal co-founded by Literary Mama blog editor Rudri Patel.

Libby Maxey had poems in the 10th anniversary issue of Pirene’s Fountain and in The Ekphrastic Review. Also, her review of Andrea Potos’s poetry book, A Stone to Carry Home, appeared online at Mom Egg Review. She’s particularly delighted that her manuscript won the 2018 Finishing Line Press New Women’s Voices Chapbook Competition; Kairos will be published next year.

Jamie Sumner published two essays: “Helping My Nonverbal Son Find His Voice” in the New York Times and “I knew how to be my disabled son’s nurse, but I had to learn how to be his mom” in the Washington Post. Publishers Weekly also shared news of her forthcoming middle-grade novel, Roll With It, with Atheneum/Simon & Schuster.
