Editorial Assistant Kristen Mulrooney has published humor writing in The Belladonna, The New Yorker, and McSweeney’s. She was named a winner of the 2022 Erma Bombeck Writer’s Workshop Humorist-in-Residence program. Later this year her work will appear in the anthology Embrace the Merciless Joy: A McSweeney’s Internet Tendency Guide to Rearing Small, Medium, and Large Children. She co-authored Gilmore Girls: The Official Cookbook, which is available for pre-order.

Fiction Editor Felicity Landa has been selected as a mentee for Latinx in Publishing‘s 2022 mentor program for work on her novel. Her original pilot script “Jefas” was named as a semifinalist for the Austin Film Festival‘s script competition, for both the Rooster Teeth BIPOC category and Drama Original Teleplay category.

Senior Editor Christina Consolino’s essay on small versus large presses was published in Brevity Blog, and she’s had two essays featured on Women Writers, Women Books: one on characters coming alive and another on navigating publishing and personal responsibility. Her profile of Erin Flanagan was published in the November/December 2021 issue of Literary Mama, and her debut novel, Rewrite the Stars, was listed as finalist in the Best Book Award by American Book Fest and garnered an honorable mention in the Indie’s Today Book Awards.

Publisher Cindy DiTiberio has started a Substack newsletter called The Mother Lode, aiming to help people feel seen while in the trenches of motherhood. She appeared on the LinkedIn Live show Navigating the Work Compass in November to discuss her article published in The Lily, and her essay on pandemic marriage was featured on The Personal Element Podcast.
