Jessica Bates

Jessica Bates is the author of Birth & What Came After: poems on mothering. She’s working on her second collection of poems as well as fiction projects as she homeschools her two kids in middle Tennessee. Recently she’s had pieces from her new collection on miscarriage and motherhood published in Radical Notion, Vast Chasm, Variant Literature, and Dead Mule School of Southern Literature. Jessica is a proud founding member of The Paper State Writing Club (est. 2014) which meets monthly in Nashville.
