Kimberly Lee left the practice of law some years ago to focus on motherhood, community work, and creative pursuits. A graduate of Stanford University and UC Davis School of Law, she worked as a public defender and later as a sole practitioner in Los Angeles. Her work has appeared in Fresh Ink, Words and Whispers, Minerva Rising’s Keeping Room, The Prompt, Toyon, The Ekphrastic Review, F(r)iction, Calliope, and LA Parent, amongst others. Her first published piece was an essay on Literary Mama’s blog. Originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, Kimberly currently lives in Southern California with her husband and three children.
