Jo Matthews

Originally from Oxford (UK), Jo Matthews is a freelance writer and copywriter now living in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Her poetry and writings have appeared in The Times, Popshot Magazine, Acumen, Prairie Fire, The Rappahannock Review, Beyond Words Literary Journal and Tangled Locks Journal. She was also shortlisted for the Creative Ink Poetry Prize 2023 and her first chapbook, Sunlight Later, was published by Cathexis Northwest Press in 2025. She is a proud mum of two wonderful daughters, and her experience of motherhood deeply influences much of her writing.
