Melissa Miles McCarter

Melissa Miles McCarter has a PhD in English, Rhetoric and Composition from the University of Texas at Arlington. In addition to her various research on postfeminism and composition studies, she has presented on such topics as the rhetoric of disability and infertility at various conferences. McCarter has also written extensively about motherhood, mental health, and popular culture for various publications including HuffPost, Kveller, and Salon. She lives in Southeast Missouri with her husband, son, and daughter.
