Gillian Shearer

Gillian Shearer’s poems have appeared in various literary magazines including The Hippocrates Prize Anthology (2021), Causeway/Cabhsair: A Magazine of Irish and Scottish Writing, Southlight, and Northwords Now. In 2021 she won a new writers award through the Scottish Book Trust and is currently working on her first collection of short stories. A former nurse and English teacher, as well as a writer and a poet, she is a doting mother of three and an equally doting grandmother to two gorgeous grandchildren.
