Monica Wesolowska

Monica Wesolowska is the author of two children’s picture books, Elbert in the Air (Dial Books, 2023, illustrated by Jerome Pumphrey) and Leo + Lea (Scholastic, 2022, illustrated by Kenard Pak) as well as the memoir Holding Silvan: A Brief Life (named a Best Book of 2013 by The Boston Globe and Library Journal). For almost two decades, she’s taught creative writing and worked with clients as an independent editor. She lives with her family in Berkeley.
