Mothering Your Creative Self

By Blog Editors

If you’re a writer and a mother, you already know that balancing these two things is an art, not a science. There is not one way to do it, nor is there a way that does it perfectly. Most of us struggle with it regularly–finding the time to raise our children while also finding the time to feed our souls with writing (if the writing does not also feed our children if it is our profession.)

Heidi Fiedler, whose Literary Reflection “Love in Translation” was featured in the Sep/Oct 2023 issue of Literary Mama, has published a book titled Quickening: The Art of Being a Creative Mother.

Filled with essays, journal prompts, poetry, and quotes, this book might be perfect for a writing mother looking to relight the creative spark within herself.
