Poetry | October 2012

Anjali

By Ashira Malka

I had a girl
a daughter who died inside
It’s true that she was born
no longer alive
She was a puzzle
solved by death
I held her
in my right hand

Her I won’t forget
How can I
She turned me into
a grave for children
And where is she buried
In my parents’ garden
