Heaven

By Francine Rubin

Sky and my baby
at my breast. I swear
I see a floating bed
on the lake.
Maybe it's a dock,
but no: four white bed posts,
a swan glistening,
the sky swirling
with leaves, gulls, sun.
What a beautiful picture,
says a passerby.
My heart is already
breaking and full.
Write it before
you're gone.
