Call for Submissions: Literary Reflections

By Blog Editor

The Literary Reflections Department at Literary Mama is seeking submissions for our May/June 2023 publication. We are looking for original first-person essays about the intersection of parenthood and the creative process, and we welcome perspectives from all genders.

For this issue, we’re interested in pieces between 1,500-3,000 words related to either Mother’s Day or Father’s Day. It’s okay to write about your own mother or father instead of your experience as a parent. Just be sure to include a “literary reflection” component: a personal connection to literature or to writing.

The deadline for submissions is March 5, 2023.

For other guidelines and/or to see the type of essays we publish, visit our submissions page.

We look forward to reading your work!
