Applications will soon be accepted for A Hotel Room of One’s Own: The Erma Bombeck | Anna Lefler Humorist-in-Residence Program (Sept. 5-Oct. 5). The winners, finalists and honorable mentions will be announced in November. The grand prize winners will be honored at the April 4-6, 2024, Erma Bombeck Writers’ Workshop, where they will be “robed” in embroidered bathrobes to kick off their two-week residency. The package is worth approximately $5,000, but the experience is priceless.
Arielle Eckstut and David Henry Sterry (aka The Book Doctors) will host virtual Pitchapalooza at 8 p.m. (Eastern) on Monday, Oct. 9. While this is a FREE event, if you make a $25 donation to help underwrite the event, your name will be thrown into a drawing for a free registration to the April 4-6, 2024, Erma Bombeck Writers’ Workshop ($499 value).
