Brianna Avenia-Tapper is a writer and mom whose personal essays have recently appeared in Tahoma Literary Review, Hobart, MUTHA Magazine, and Pigeon Pages. Her book reviews and author interviews have been published in Chicago Review of Books, Barrelhouse, River Teeth, and The Rumpus. She is currently revising her memoir, Carrying Heavy Things: Babies, Backpacks, and Bolsheviks about birth, control, and birth control. This work is represented by Andrew Dugan of Dystel, Goderich, and Bourret. Formerly a teacher in the US, Russia, and Kazakhstan, Brianna lives in NYC with her family.
