Della Cassia

Della Cassia is a writer, educator, and reformed journalist, who immigrated to Michigan from Lebanon at the age of sixteen in pursuit of her American Dream. She began her career as reporter and editor of her local newspaper then spent more than a decade working as a communications and public relations professional. She took a hiatus from writing to focus on teaching and raising her family. The Blue Duffel Bag is her first published essay based on her memoir in progress.
