Kate Fries writes about parenting, pop culture, fitness, and food for various print and online media. Her work has appeared in Good Housekeeping, Fit Nation Magazine, Huffington Post, The Mid, Central California Life Magazine, and Walnut Creek Patch. It bothers her that many of her pop culture heroes keep breaking themselves (hey there, Bono and Harrison Ford) because it forces her to contemplate her own mortality. She attempts to squash these feelings by reading a lot of YA novels and even sometimes working on writing her own. She resides in Central California with her husband, two tween boys, a labradoodle puppy, and a cat who came with the house.
