Roxanne Harde

Roxanne Harde, currently a SSHRC Postdoctoral Fellow at Cornell University, completed her doctorate in American Literature at Queen’s University. Her work has appeared in several journals, including Christianity and Literature, Legacy, Studies in Puritan American Spirituality, and Mosaic, and in collections such as Things of the Spirit: Women Writers Constructing Spirituality (Notre Dame, 2004). This essay originally appeared in The Journal of the Association for Research on Mothering, vol. 4.2 (fall/winter 2002).
