Ingrid Andersson

Ingrid Andersson has been a home birth nurse midwife for over 20 years. Her poems bridge the ardent work of pregnancy, birth and parenting with work toward reproductive justice and sustainability on an embattled planet. She founded Mothers’ Milk Alliance and co-founded Pregnancy Options Wisconsin: Education, Resources & Support (POWERS). Her poetry has been nominated twice for a Pushcart Prize, has won an Editor’s Choice Award and appeared in Ars Medica, Eastern Iowa Review, Midwest Review, Mom Egg Review, Plant-Human Quarterly and elsewhere. Her debut collection, Jordemoder: Poems of a Midwife, is due out in April.
