Prarthana J.A.

Prarthana J.A., lives in Bangalore, India. She quit her decade-long job as a corporate writer to care for her babies, a feisty toddler and her first novel. Her latest realization is that attachment theory must be mandatorily taught in schools. Paper Boat Sails the Ocean, her forthcoming novel, is the winner of the 2021 Novel Slices contest and a Pushcart Prize nominee. Her short stories have appeared in The Indian Periodical, Defenestration, Every Day Fiction, The Indian Review, The Potato Soup Journal, Mad Swirl, and Emovere, an anthology.
