Shokoofeh Rajabzadeh
Shokoofeh Rajabzadeh was born in Iran, grew up in California, and now lives in New York. She holds a PhD in English Literature from University of California, Berkeley. Her dissertation theorizes the racialization of Muslims and premodern Islamophobia. Her writing has previously appeared in ZYZZYVA, Boston Accent, Wellcome Stories, and the anthology My Shadow is My Skin: Voices from the Iranian Diaspora. She has been awarded an AWP Mentorship and has just been accepted as a member of the Changemaker Authors Cohort. She is currently working on an experimental memoir.
