Libby Maxey, Literary Reflections Editor, published her poems “Keeping on Nodding Terms” and “Chamber Odyssey” in the most recent issue of Mezzo Cammin. Also, the Mom Egg Review included two of her book reviews online this summer, including “The Spoons in the Grass are There to Dig a Moat,” and “The Best Small Fictions 2016.”

Lisa Katzenberger, Fiction and Creative Nonfiction Editorial Assistant, had an article published in Chicago Parent magazine, “9 ideas that will help preschoolers get ready for the big time.”

Rae Pagliarulo, Creative Nonfiction Editor, had a piece of flash CNF called “Breathe Deep” in New South Journal. And her essay “Four Times More Likely” was voted Most Memorable in Hippocampus Magazine’s July 2016 special issue, “Firsts.”

Suzanne Kamata, Fiction Editor, won the Half the World Global Literati Award for the Novel/Memoir for her unpublished mother/daughter travel memoir Squeaky Wheels. She’s also pleased to announce the forthcoming publication of her novel The Mermaids of Lake Michigan (Wyatt-Mackenzie Publishing, February 2017) and a nonfiction book for literacy learners (and others!), A Girls’ Guide to the Islands, which will be published early next year by Gemma Open Door.
