Get Posted/Get Published: March 2026
Why it’s important for Literary Mamas to keep posting for publication in 2026.

There are numerous reasons why Literary Mamas need to be posting and publishing their words in 2026. Today, many yearn for multiple perspectives and observations of the world, whether in the form of creative fiction, nonfiction, or inspirational poetry. Literary magazines and online publications work hard to engage those audiences, and this is where our own voices can be heard.
Of course, the submission process takes time (and often money), and, like me, you may lose motivation. However, March is now in full swing, so let us encourage you to look at the following submission possibilities:
- October Hill Magazine has a submission deadline of March 15, 2026. They accept short stories, poetry, and visuals. Learn more about submissions.
- Community of Literary Magazines and Presses (CLMP) lists submissions opportunities from many literary magazines and presses.
- A reminder about Book of Matches, which is running its first poetry contest, The Nag Tooth Prize for Poetry. Submissions are free and are being accepted between January 15 through April 8, 2026. One winner will be awarded $100 and publication. Submissions should be sent to bookofmatcheslitmag@gmail.com.
- The Paris Review is accepting prose submissions (up to 40 pages) via Submittable starting February 1, 2026, remaining open until the quota is met.
Remember, you can also submit to our very own Literary Mama.

Our next issue of Literary Mama releases on March 18. Remember to keep a spring in your step. March is going to be a good month.
